My Journey
Over the years, I’ve learned that the values and principles of permaculture reach far beyond the garden. They can shape how we write, teach, build community, and care for ourselves and the land around us.
At the heart of it is a simple truth: we’re not separate from nature — we’re part of it. When we design and live from that understanding, our choices become more thoughtful, balanced, and sustainable.
My path has woven together three connected fields — alternative health, holistic education, and now, permaculture. Each has deepened my appreciation of whole-systems thinking and the power of small, local actions to create meaningful change.
Whether I’m teaching, designing, or growing, I aim to help people reconnect with nature, work with what they have, and create spaces and projects that truly support life in its deepest sense - hopefully role-modelling an alternative future - that is more authentic and peaceful.
We might feel that changes we make are insignificant - but I firmly believe each small drop, creates a ripple effect and that even a small drop, in what may seem like a vast ocean, is powerful.
I give consultations about- gardens, allotments, community gardens, land projects and small farms, other types of community project or sustainable business .
During a consultation I would visit your project space and cast my horticultural and permaculture eye over it to see what initially comes up, in order to make it a success. I normally run through a set of questions that can prompt your holistic thinking and we can have a wider chat about what you are wanting to achieve. We can identify plants and discuss how to look after them too, especially helpful if you are new to gardening.

Within a 5 mile radius of Hastings - £70
Consultations further a field, price to be agreed. Generally speaking beyond about 30 miles I would prefer to work remotely, though this depends on the project.
ONLINE CONSULTATIONS
How it works:
preamble on e-mail, details and photos of your project, what you would like to achieve.
a 40 minute meeting on phone or zoom, to discuss your project in depth
follow up e-mail of some suggestions and sign posting that would be helpful.

Please note:
Consultations are an initial 'ideas' meeting and might form the start of a design, it does not include a design! A consultation is useful at the beginning of a project or if you have become stuck and would appreciate some direction and different ideas.
